Creation Care
Methodists care about the planet and take responsibility for the earth and its constituent parts - including our partners across the world church, some whom are even more impacted by the climate crisis than we are.
The Methodist Church in Britain has agreed to an aspirational target of being net zero by 2030 “and to use its assets, investments and influence to drive practical action to benefit people and planet.” (see more at Action - Climate)
We are therefore seeking to become an Eco-Circuit and to play our part.
Tent of Hope
The Craftivists Group have created this installation which we hope can travel round to churches or other venues to encourage thinking about climate issues. It can be used as a prayer space or the focus for an act of worship or discussions. It is also possible to add to it with your own hoop-making workshop. Contact the Circuit.office on the link below if you would like to borrow it.
